HONet (Hybrid Overlay Network) [1] is a locality-aware two-level structure to provide flexible and scalable routing. In this project, we are aiming to implement HONet (will introduce some of our other findings in locality-aware P2P area).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
There are several existing single level DHT overlay implementation. Our system can be based on a certain existing DHT system, such as FreePastry (Rice/MPI-SWS), Bamboo DHT (Berkeley) and Chimera/Tapestry (UCSB). &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
We need to deploy and evaluate our system on PlanetLab test-bed, which is a planet-scale test-bed with almost 1000 computers all over the world. It&amp;#039;s a good platform to improve an architecture from protocol design stage to deployment stage.&lt;br /&gt;
