 Content Centric Networking (CCN) is a new ambitious proposal to replace the IP protocol. On the other hand problems like efficiency and scalability of the name-based routing, support of existing application and new ones and the possibility to actually deploy this technology are still open and actively discussed, making CCN one of the most active research field in networking.
