Details
Katrina, Tsunami, shooting events in schools etc have shown the need for an Internet based warning scheme that could warn people in a specific area of an impending danger. This warning system would compliment the non-IP based solutions that exist currently. The goal of this thesis would be to design a system that could distribute warnings/advice to a huge audience in an efficient and scalable manner. This topic would be partly supervised by Hannes Tschofening (Nokia Siemens Networks).
