Description
At Computer Netwoks groups, in collaboration with Deutsche Telekom labs, we are actively working on LENS, a new spam protection system. LENS leverages anti-social networking paradigm based on an underlying trust infrastructure to both extend spam protection beyond a user’s social circle and fundamentally prevent the transmission of spam across the network at the first place.
The goal of this student project (or bachelor thesis) is to develop Thunderbird Social Connector (TSC), an extension for Mozilla Thunderbird email client. The main features of TSC would be;
- Formation of Community / Social Network: Ability to form social network by adding email contacts as friends.
- Friend Suggestion: Based on the communication patterns, suggestions are given for new friendships.
Depending on the project duration and student's interest the amount of functions to be implemented in the prototype will be further adapted.
