Description

ARA is a novel routing and forwarding scheme for coordinated wide area mobility. It enables a router to forward data for a mobile node to its current point of attachment in a heterogeneous and fragmented environment such as mobile hot-spots.

The goal of this project is to implement ARA in a real world environment. Depending on the abilities and interests of the student we will chose a general purpose system (e.g. the Quagga routing suite) or an embedded system (e.g. OpenWrt or FreeWRT).

Depending on the length of the project we will implement different cache models (centralized, distributed, DHT-based) and take a loot at further aspect such as security.
