Details

Currently UDP is the preferred mechanism to distribute video. TCP too is used to an extent due to the availability of playout buffers. The goal of this thesis is to study if the application can use congestion information in the network to provide variable levels of quality to the receiver based on available bandwidth.

  • Basic IP networking knowledge
