Phoenix is an accurate and decentralized Network Coordinate system. It can be used to predict the distance (latency) between two Internet hosts without performing directly measurement. We have demonstrated and evaluated Phoenix through Internet traces. However, the real Internet deployment is still an interest goal to go. | |||
We are going to deploy the Phoenix NC system on PlanetLab test-bed, which is a planet-scale test-bed with almost 1000 computers all over the world. It's a good platform to evaluate the performance of an architecture from design stage to deployment stage. | |||
Personally, I recommend to use Python as the development platform. But of course you can choose other languages such as C++/Java and so on. | |||
